One of the many ways you can make a difference is to promote water and energy conseration - with rain barrels!
Just position a rain barrel below the downspout of your roof gutter to collect rain water. This water can be used to water your lawn and indoor plants or to wash your car or pet. The other benefits of rain harvesting includes reducing:
the amount of polluted water that runs into rivers and streams,
flooding and sewer backups, and
your water bills.

U.S. Stores Accept Plastic Bags for Recycling
Remember to reuse/repurpose your plastic bags. HERE are some great ideas!
If you need to get rid of plastic bags or film (i.e. plastic packaging around toilet paper, etc.), take them to a local store for recycling. Check HERE to see which locations in your area recycle. Before heading to the store, call ahead to confirm they're still accepting bags/film.
Note: Keep plastic bags / film out of your curbside recycling; it gets caught in the machines and can shut down the recycling facility.
